Hi everyone -
I'm still buzzing from my first time at Choro Camp - and want to try to keep some momentum going. As someone new to cavaquinho (but not to fretted strings), I went looking for a book to help me start learning chord shapes. The book I bought (the only one I could find in English) was - while probably technically accurate - NOT very useful as it didn't reflect the typical voicings used, or how the chord shapes related to chords before and after, etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where to find a more practical source of information about chord shapes that will be useful as I try to build skills and repertoire? I might be able use materials in Portuguese for chord shapes, a picture being worth a thousand mispronounced words, but prefer English if possible.
Obrigada!
I googled "acordes cavaquinho" and Scribd.com had a a useful .pdf file.

(For some reason when I tried to attach the pdf to this post it said that file type is not allowed - curious!)
This website has some sequences (sequencias) https://cifrasdesamba.com.br/sequencias/
Let us know what useful stuff you find!
What I ended up doing was drawing out all the chord shapes I could "find" on the instrument:
Some of them are more useful than others, but it was a good exercise.
Thanks so much, Jeff.
I did find the Scribd document also. But that was all I was able to find other than the aforementioned unhelpful "chord Bible".
Thanks for your chord grids. I will print them out! (I'm glad the exercise was good for you as well...)
I tried printing your photo but the contrast wasn't enough... By any chance are you able to scan it?
@john-beard There's also this page on that site, although the sequencias seem more practical in many ways.
