About Me
I've been playing bass guitar and mandolin since the late 80s.
My go-to music has always been Celtic folk / folk-rock. And I have a decent repertoire of Irish, Scottish, English tunes.
Since moving to Cleveland, Ohio in the mid 90s, I have been involved with several Irish music bands, an English Country Dance band, a contra dance, and am currently in a Hedwig and the Angry Inch tribute band (avatar is from a gig at the Grog Shop in Spring 2024).
I discovered choro in the late 90s when the local mandolin orchestra leader gave me a slew of sheet music to play, two of which included Vou Vivendo and Proesas da Solon. I've been mildly obsessed with Brazilian folk/jazz styles ever since.
I am also currently learning samba and bossa nova guitar with the excellent guidance of Moises Burger, currently residing in Cleveland Heights.
