I've prepared three videos devoted to Paulo Moura's "Ao Velho Pedro" in hopes that it will help cavaquinho novices get started learning it. Here's a chart for the tune with one possible set of chord voicings you might use.
I use those chord voicings in the following two videos. In this first video I explain some of the rhythms used in the other two -- one devoted to the A section of Ao Velho pedro, one to the B section. I hope newcomers to cavaco will find them helpful!
