Chicago-area folks may want to check out these FREE public dance and percussion workshops by the Bahian bloco from Salvador, Ile Aiye, happening this coming weekend.
It's not choro, but I'm a firm believer in learning as much as possible about different styles, especially rhythms, and especially percussion regardless of your primary instrument.
Plus, I can guarantee these will be fun and will be over far too quickly.
